Bio
Mesmerizing, Dazzling, and Exhilarating are adjectives audiences continuously use to characterize the Bosman Twins, St. Louis’ most popular jazz artists. Florida A&M music scholars and masters of several woodwind instruments, the Emmy Award winning duo are true ambassadors of music. Whether performing as a duo or accompanying jazz greats, their renditions of jazz, R&B, funk and gospel have gained them international notoriety.
Known for their polished stage performances, the twins’ passion for jazz started at an early age after listening to greats like Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Oliver Sain, Cannonball Adderly and their father, the late Lloyd Smith - once sideman for Count Basie and Duke Ellington. As classically-trained and jazz-inspired fourteen year-olds, The Bosman Twins soon emerged as a part of St. Louis’ burgeoning jazz scene. Over the years the sophisticated and stylish identical twins have come into their own as jazz’s best and brightest and have energized audiences from St. Louis to London.
